VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center

I had to make the hard decision to put my dog Marble to sleep today after he was hospitalized and was not showing any improvement after coming home. Both myself and my dog were shown so much kindness and respect throughout the entire ordeal, and I feel that my dog received the best care he could have. Thank you so much to Dr. Hui, RVTs Andrea and Karen, and all of the front desk staff who made a really bad day just a little bit easier.

i’ve had to bring my baby here twice unfortunately but they have been just so kind each time. this last time specifically was so important to me because we got some really scary news and the techs and doctors were truly so genuine and it was clear they actually cared for my boy. they called me many times to give me updates and we’re understanding about everything. i cannot recommend this place enough. i wish i knew the name of the tech that truly touched my heart so much about my boy. just know, you are appreciated.

Doctors are great!!! The Dr’s assistant and front desk clerks are rude and disrespectful every time I go, so 1 star for them and 4 stars to the Drs and 0 stars for the extraordinary HIGH cost. Before you respond, keep in mind there is no excuse for bad behavior, especially at the prices being charged, even for basic office visits. Instead, use this information in your next staff meeting to come up with a plan of action. My pup has been a patient at this facility since he was 9 weeks old and he is now 12 years old, and nothing has changed as far as attitude towards clients. The last time I came, I paid for intern training where the assistant was interrupting MY office visit with verbal training instructions. I don't mind paying while training is going on, but you don't have to make the training a priority when I am paying for it. Based on other similar comments, soft skill training is highly needed in this facility, easily found on Udemy or LinkedIn Learning.

I rarely write reviews. And It took me a month and a half to build myself up to write this, and it is still difficult. Last month we had to put down our twelve year-old angel. We are eternally grateful for the compassion and empathy of the entire staff at VCA. We had never been to VCA prior and this was the first time my wife and I had to go through this process with a pet. From the front desk to the back the entire staff was aware and sensitive to our situation. They had our boy at complete ease and gave us as much time as we needed with him. We never felt rushed. He went as peacefully as possible. Thank you VCA for your compassion.

i just wanted to share my experience with VCA I bought my 7 month old kitten for vomiting and low energy 11/05/2023. The staff did take home back immediately which I was grateful for in the moment. Front desk did say the techs will get his vitals ready but it might take 3 hours to be seen by a vet… I said okay & asked front desk to give me a call with a update because I was going to my car… about 20 minutes later I got a call with a update from the doctor telling me vitals was looking good but she felt something in his stomach that could maybe be a foreign object and advise I get X-rays . The tech said X-rays would be 850 out of pocket. I told them I can not do that today. I was already up to about 350 for the exam and “prova” testing. She said he will be receiving anti nausea medication and some kinda fluid injection ( not really sure what it was). When I came to pick him up, the tech went over some after care and advise me to go to my primary vet in 7-10 days for a check up and if he vomits again in 24 hours I should go immediately to get X-rays . Bought my cat home around 6-7 and he was very sluggish and eventually went to sleep in my bed. I woke up to him in our bathroom laid out. I picked him up and he hissed at me so I put him down on the bed(not normal). I tried to feed him before leaving for work but he never ate. Came home from work to Cyder Dead😪 I called VCA really upset because I wish it was more urgency when I bought him for care on Sunday. I feel like they should’ve told me more but Idk Cyder was my first cat. I’m really sad about this sudden passing . R.I.P Cyder. Picture from after his visit 😪

Your experience here could go either way. I’ve brought a couple of my pets here. The most recent visits, the doctors were great, especially Dr Santiago. I would give her a 5 star review! The assistant working with her was great as well! However, some of the assistants are quite rude. Especially the last visit, the assistant was tactless and I felt bullied into getting a higher priced opinion. It definitely felt as though the situation was being taken advantage of.

So grateful for the team at VCA! My dog Winston was referred for an MRI and everyone was so kind and compassionate as they listened. Dr. Sangster is AMAZING! Winston was very scared being there for the first time and she got down on his level, showed him she wasn't a threat, and was so gentle and caring. He's scheduled for surgery soon for his herniated disc and he could not be in better hands.
